Quizlet — Easiest to Get Started

Pros: intuitive UI, easy to share with students, game modes. Cons: spaced repetition algorithm is not as refined as Anki’s. Free features are limited [2].

RemNote — Notes and Flashcards Integrated

Which App for Whom?

  • Medical students / serious learners → Anki
  • Middle/high school students → Quizlet
  • Integrating with PKM → RemNote
  • ADHD users → Start with Quizlet, transition to Anki once comfortable

My Choice

I use Anki as my primary tool and share Quizlet with students. The spaced repetition algorithm (SM-2) developed by Piotr Wozniak has been validated over 30 years [3].
